There is something that moves me,that I feel a resonance with in almost all of his work.
It seems to emanate from a most sculptorly (if that is a word) quality of observance.
Perhaps there is something in the Icelandic/Scandinavian experience that leads people to be engaged with physics and material at a level that fulfils aesthetic urges that border on sublime and metaphysical. Perhaps a planetary geological perspective is forced upon the mind when the ground itself is still being made by forces you can barely grasp. I will have to ask him…
